CEMWorks Joins Canada Semiconductor Mission in South Korea

EMWorks was represented by Business Development Manager Gabriel Lafond-Wise at the Canada Semiconductor SME Trade Mission to South Korea, an international initiative led by Canada’s Semiconductor Council (CSC) in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

The mission provided a strategic platform for Canadian semiconductor companies to engage directly with South Korea’s advanced technology ecosystem, identify commercial opportunities, and strengthen international partnerships across AI, advanced packaging, and next-generation electronic systems.

Focused Business Meetings and Market Insights

The delegation began in Seoul with briefings at the Embassy of Canada, followed by targeted B2B meetings with Korean technology companies. These sessions enabled in-depth discussions around system-level design challenges, advanced semiconductor architectures, and areas of mutual commercial interest.

As part of the mission, Gabriel also participated in onsite visits to leading AI and compute innovators, including FuriosaAI and Tenstorrent. These engagements provided valuable insight into emerging market needs and reinforced the importance of scalable, system-level electromagnetic simulation in next-generation compute platforms.

Showcasing Canadian Capabilities at SEDEX 2025

The mission concluded with the opening of the Canada Pavilion at SEDEX 2025, where CEMWorks joined other Canadian companies in presenting advanced semiconductor and electronic system technologies to a global audience.

Participation in this trade mission supports CEMWorks’ broader business development strategy—strengthening international visibility, building relationships with global technology leaders, and positioning our simulation capabilities within rapidly evolving semiconductor and AI markets.
