CEMWorks Joins ventureLAB’s Hardware Catalyst Initiative Cohort 9

CEMWorks is honored to announce our selection into Cohort 9 of ventureLAB’s Hardware Catalyst Initiative (HCI), Canada’s only hardware and silicon-focused incubator dedicated to accelerating the commercialization of deep tech innovations.

On July 15, 2025, ventureLAB introduced 26 pioneering companies across MedTech, semiconductors, automobility, advanced electronics, and semiconductor tools as part of the newest cohort. Each of these ventures represents a powerful wave of entrepreneurs developing mission-critical technologies to shape a smarter, safer, and more connected world.

CEMWorks was recognized in the Semiconductor Tools category for our advanced electromagnetic (EM) simulation software. Our solutions enable engineers to design, analyze, and optimize complex electromagnetic environments—including IC packaging, antennas, and semiconductor devices—with greater accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.

This achievement marks an important milestone for CEMWorks. By joining ventureLAB’s Hardware Catalyst Initiative, we gain access to leading prototyping labs, mentorship, and industry networks. These resources will accelerate the development of our Emerald simulation tool and further our mission of helping industries reduce costs, certify compliance, and accelerate time-to-market for next-generation designs.

“Being part of Cohort 9 validates our commitment to delivering scalable, accurate, and dramatically faster EM simulation solutions for the most demanding design challenges,” said Jonatan Aronsson, the president and founder of CEMWorks.

We are proud to stand alongside Canada’s top deep tech innovators and look forward to contributing to the advancement of semiconductor tools and technologies that will power the future.
