CEMWorks was honored to participate in the UK Semiconductor Partner Development Activity (PDA), a mission organized under the Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP). CIIP is a Canadian government initiative that supports joint R&D projects between Canadian companies and international partners, with this specific PDA focused on fostering collaboration between Canada and the United Kingdom in the semiconductor sector.
Over the course of a week, the delegation traveled across four of the UK’s major semiconductor clusters, with stops in Edinburgh, Newport, and Cambridge serving as flagship events. The itinerary included market briefings, site visits to research and technology organizations, partner development meetings, and networking activities. These sessions provided Canadian participants with valuable insights into the UK’s semiconductor ecosystem, while also creating opportunities to identify potential partners for future collaborative projects.
For CEMWorks, this mission was a significant opportunity to highlight our electromagnetic (EM) simulation expertise within a global innovation context. Engaging directly with UK stakeholders allowed us to strengthen ties with industry and research leaders while exploring avenues for collaboration on next-generation semiconductor technologies.
The UK PDA also reinforced Canada’s presence as a leader in advanced technology and innovation on the world stage. As part of the broader CIIP program, CEMWorks is actively moving forward in the proposal submission stage with UK partners, aiming to contribute to the growth of joint R&D initiatives that will accelerate breakthroughs in semiconductor design and applications.
Looking ahead, CEMWorks is excited to build on the momentum from this PDA, pursuing collaborative opportunities in the UK and continuing to represent Canadian innovation in international markets.
